Who We Are and Our Passion?

What does Ziv mean? Ziv is derived from Hebrew, meaning “light”, “to glow”, or “to shine”. Ziv Products is a veteran owned business in the state of Texas that makes 100% organic hair, beard, and skin care products. As many of you may know, I have suffered from hair loss due to an autoimmune disorder that caused painful, itchy sores and bald spots 2 years ago. I was ashamed to show my hair when Ziv was created because I didn’t want anyone to judge me.

At Ziv Products, we understand the significance of healthy and vibrant hair. That's why we have meticulously crafted a range of hair care products that harness the power of seven essential oils, scientifically proven to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss. We believe in the healing properties of nature, and our formulations are carefully designed to deliver the nourishment your hair needs, while maintaining a commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness.

What sets Ziv Products apart is our dedication to quality. Each product is meticulously crafted in small batches, ensuring the highest standards of excellence. What causes hairloss?

Our hair can be a constant worry known as our crown of glory. Many of the mainstream products we use today are too harsh for our hair and unfortunately strip hair of our natural oils and dries out the scalp. You think about different factors that can possibly play a role in hair loss. Here are a few factors:

1. Environmental Factors

UVA and UVB rays, the wind, and weather changes (snow, rain, sleet, and snow) can take a toll on our hair.

2. Stress

Stress such as aging or physical stress applied to the hair itself such as pulling it back too tightly, heat of styling, and exposing it to harsh chemical treatments could cause hair loss. Research suggests that elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol can weaken your hair follicles, leading to hair loss. Excessive exposure to reactive molecules called free radicals may also contribute to increases in hair loss and graying by damaging cells, promoting inflammation, and accelerating aging. Somehow if stress is eliminated, maybe it can help reverse hair damage.

3. Lifestyle

We are what we eat. Having an unbalanced meal could also play a major role in hair damage. There are many foods that have antioxidants that can protect your cells against free radical damage. Implementing a diet high in antioxidant-rich foods are excellent ways to encourage hair growth and keep your body functioning optimally.

4. Genetic Makeup

Some symptoms of hair thinning, or hair loss may be due to genetic factors that contribute to a type of hereditary hair loss known as androgenetic alopecia, cancer, psoriasis, eczema, excessive dandruff, and lack of iron (when someone lacks iron in the body, iron is pulled from the hair causing the hair to become thin and eventually starts to shed). With these kinds of conditions, medication could possibly help, or it could also cause further damage from the side effects.

The 5 Benefits of Essential Oils

Stimulate Hair Growth

It’s common for hair loss sufferers to turn to hair replacement surgery and topical hair loss products in hopes of regaining their full heads of hair, but your first line of defense when combatting hair loss should be to address the root cause, whether that’s by boosting circulation, fighting inflammation or adding moisture. The amazing thing about essential oils is that a few drops can do these things for you.

Get Rid of Dandruff

Another common concern is how to get rid of dandruff, a skin disorder that affects 50 percent of the world population. Dandruff is caused by the build-up of dead skin and in more severe cases, a yeast-like organism aggravates it. It can also be caused by hair care products that contain chemical ingredients that leave your scalp red, itchy and scaly.

Nourish Your Hair

People tend to spend a lot of money of hair care products that are used to leave your hair looking shinier, smoother and straighter. Unfortunately, many of these products are doing more harm than good. Keratin treatment, for instance, contains toxic ingredients like formaldehyde, which is known to be a human carcinogen. Instead of turning to these conventional methods, using essential oils for hair will make your locks stronger and healthier, without the potential side effects. The hydrating, soothing and anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties of essential oils work to nourish your hair naturally.

Prevent Oily Hair

Your sebaceous glands, or oil glands, are responsible for maintaining proper hydration levels through the sebum or the oil that they produce. This is what gives your hair a healthy shine, but when your glands produce too much oil, it can make your hair look greasy, even when you just washed it that morning. Some essential oils, like peppermint, can help you to control sebum production, leaving your hair oil-free and shiny.

Reduce Stress and Balance Hormones

Research shows that stress is associated with hair loss and so is a hormone imbalance. Stress triggers inflammation and prematurely induces hair follicle regression, leading to hair loss.
